I gotta say this was a really good story. There are a lot of cheesy parts, but overall great. It was kind of annoying that every time magic was used the character would either snap or slam their hands on the ground. Every emotion had its own action and every single character used that one action for the emotion. Frustrated? Forced a smile. Disbelief? Their smile twitched. Other than these complaints the world building is great and the plot is good.
time to dive in
done in 2 weeks. overall, pretty good. the story (for me) starts great, then going downhill at around chapter 1000+. the mc and side characters are unique and memorable. the plot and arcs starts great but the quality becomes a bit confusing down the line. the chapter before the ending is good for a plot end, but the epilogue chapter feels rushed. ffs the writer can spare 2+ chapters for less important character/side arc but he can't give us a proper epilogue.
Reili released a new novel called Abyssal Awakening. I wonder if anyone else here have read it yet? From what I've read, the writing has seen a massive improvement compared to this one.
Time to finish this novel? I read it quite a few years ago and all I member is laughter n enjoyment. Finished LoTM 2nd re read so I just want some fun atp...
After the 2nd part of the new age the story becomes very philosophical 🧐. I enjoyed it, made me think 💭. And to correct a reply that I wrote some weeks ago when I started: A Nanobot isn’t artificial mana. It is a miniature factory compressed down until it’s almost negligible. It multiplies by feeding of ambient mana and the user’s mana so to a viewer it seems to just appear how mana would. Feel free to correct me. That’s how I understood it based on my level of intellect 😅
I would've liked a decent amount of basic science understanding behind the characterization in the story. What I mean is you wrote the novel with the major theme of a person who carries nanites and uses nanotech to fashion needful weapons/items, etc. Shouldn't you then already know the total amount of nanite mass you carry limits the mass of what you create? If you had 100 pounds of nanites in your body, how can you create say a 2 ton weapon or item? For the most part, the author does stay within reason, but there were times of going well beyond what I was referring to.
Sh*t I am jumping from novel to novel guess I will settle and continue this.
man what a waste ... it felt like the author couldnt decide between a lot of things and kept going on whim during several core moments. I had a lot of fun until chapter 700 or so tho so i guess i kinda recomend it ? after that i hated everything
