Ngl for a 4.8 I expected a lot different, but to each their own I guess It’s readable but the FL is legit a middle schooler…proceed as you wish

It's a Chinese novel, and if I'm not mistaken the legal age of consent is 14 there and the FL was 15 at the start and ML was 19. Definitely frowned upon in the states, but this is an all too common theme in Chinese novels for me to think it's the same feeling there; feels a bit ick as someone from USA for sure, but I just pretend it's written by an American so she'd be 18 to his 19, I don't want to miss out on such a fun novel otherwise. One of the few imo that have mixed normal SoL and hidden urban cultivation so well.

yea I understand there’s differences by region and whatnot, but that doesn’t change the fact that for me seeing a grown dude get with a literal child is just revolting Like if you think that’s ok, I seriously question your moral judgement. Especially between the ages of like 15-19/20, each year holds a SIGNIFICANT amount of personal and emotional development which cannot be compared to someone older. It’s beyond creepy imo

Relax internet warrior, put the sword down, I already said for me, even if it's not frowned upon and totally legal in China it's ick I'm my opinion; hence why I said I just pretended they are 18 and 19 instead of 15 and 19 so I don't miss out on a book due to cultural differences I don't agree with.

What I like about this novel is the slow progress of the MC, him being low-key, and his kind but will retaliate if provoked personality. The slow romance also spiced it up for me, actually seeing how the relationship is planted, germinates, and watching it bloom and bears fruit. The satisfaction is comparable to as if you just unearthed a forgotten happy memory from your childhood. Each core characters got their own unique personality, which really adds ambience into the story. Some characters might be too annoying, but hey! there's nothing perfect on this world, we all got our own flaws. Them being annoying adds color to the story itself. This is my first review on this site, I tried my best to not include spoilers. I got myself spoiled hard just when I was immersed in the story, but I still continued reading. The best way out is always through, and I'm glad that I persevered despite being spoiled, as I get to witness a masterpiece until it's finale.

Same, this review actually persuaded me to try this novel, hope it's good Edit: Tragic. The MC is in his 2nd year of University whilst the female lead is a middle school child. Never mind...

Really good, but the ending is pretty meh. After the end of the final conflict in chapter 789 it cuts off sort of abruptly, then there's a 5-year time skip in the last chapter but the last chapter doesn't resolve everything involving the harem. I mean, it's good up to that point, the final conflict's pacing is perfect for how frantic and chaotic it is, but the sudden jump and the unfinished relationship threads with the single chapter as the ending bring it way down from what could have been an amazing ending.
