I was playing to give this a two star but Couldn't because I read this for a forty long time I got Attach to it as fang yuan once said human beings don't know what they lose until they lose it. I didn't like this novel because of how bad they do the side character Like the fox they Never show it again Which made me really mad bro whyy the fox was the bast character or like his Adopted Daughter Lorita and Angel they were great character but were never shown again. ðŸ˜ðŸ’”

OK my dudes!!! I'm finished reading this. . novel. . . . but. . . . I shouldn't have started. . To tell the truth, I was about to drop it a few times, but came back because I was bored. . and I don't like starting things and just leaving halfway. . There is many novel out there to spend your time. . this and Gourmet in another world is definitely not one I recommend to spend your time. . even your spare time. . Just go and read some good novel a second, third or tenth time :D What I liked in the novel: How the System became. . It's probably the first time I saw this. . (Spoiler) (Spoiler) (Spoiler) (Spoiler) I mean. . it's a distress signal from an another, dying universe. . And it's all I liked about the novel. . this one idea :D What I don't like in this novel: - The MC. . and what he became. . - The Stupid system, and how it's not useful at all. . it definitely has no system power, it's just a stupid stat screen. . - Side Characters. . They could be useful for the plot. . but they are just like the MC. . you will forget them, because they have no character. . - Females. . I love females. . the MC doesn't really interested in ANYTHING. . . . I know there are holy virgins in the multiverse, but its fcking annoying. . . . After reading Infinite Mana in the Apocalypse, I know it mustn't be a mature novel to get good relations with the other gender. . I've struggle through this novel to the end just to tell you my dudes, you just shouldn't start it. . you lose literally NOTHING. . just start rereading these: Dual Cultivation or Shadow Slave or Cultivation Online or Spirit Cultivation and Against Heaven's Will or Reincarnated With The Strongest System or Strongest Necromancer Of Heaven's Gate or Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken or The Man Picked Up By the Gods or Trash of the Count's Family or Supremacy Games or The Author's POV or any other good novels. . you have so many choice. . don't choose this. . it's less than mediocre :D If you have any good recommendations, please share it with this bored cookie =)

I can't explain how much i got disappointed by this novel. Lets start with the system; -This system was the worst system i have ever seen. It totally works random, doesn't have rules or restriction. I was on the verge of dropping at chp. 190 but i thought maybe i should see through it, i hang on till chapter 600 but it just feels so mediocre. Like what is the point of reading when there are no clear rules how he gains and upgrades skills. Maybe what makes a novel great is this(Like RI and LoTM, they had clear rules and power levels and was consistent all the way to the end. ) Secondly the MC: -He is like a blank sheet of paper. Through the novel i felt like he doesn't have any personality. Sometimes he can only moved through a benefit, sometimes he is a complete pushover, sometimes he becomes a saint. He has ambition but why he has it or how did his ambitions came to be is never explained. And also his origin is also a mess. Maybe in the future chapters it is explained but where i left off it wasn't obvious whether he is a transmigrator or he just consider his dream world experience as a previous life. Third the satisfaction of reading; -The only thing you could find satisfactory is his power-ups. After reading this novel, i finally understood why so many novels have revenge as plot. It is like there is nothing to look forward to. He is gaining power but what for? He is saying he is doing for immortality(2 or 3 sentences at most) but you can't feel his dedication. There is no sadness because you don't emotionally invested at any character even MC. Because MC himself doesn't feel emotions. Also there is a nationalistic arc where everyone except Chinese people are dumb and racist. He ruined an arc which had a potential with his propagandas. I could go on and on but i think these are enough as flaws already. If you are a new reader you could go on and try this but if you have read peak novels and decided to read this while ignoring these red flags, read it but don't expect much. Everyone has their own taste after all maybe you would like it

really beautiful story, if u liked author’s other book, u will sure love this one, GREAT WORLD BUILDING, will say last two arcs where a bit anti-climatic to such beautiful story, but the rest of the books makes up for it that you wouldn’t even care, i really enjoyed this book, and also fang yuan’s character, will do anything for power & always two steps ahead !

Adored this novel! Had read "Warlock of the magus world" from him too and felt drawn to the title of this one. Didn't disappoint. Cold blooded MC, no love. The ending was a bit "meh", but it tied the story together anyhow. Would recommend!

A wonderful read. Ending was not upto level of what I was expecting but the journey itself was good. MC is not that carefree but quite scheming and occasionally ruthless, kind of remind me another MC of same name

I have read an another work of this Author called WMW. I can tell it is clearly better in most aspects that this one, there are some similarities ofcourse. This novel is misleading, it starts from a completely different genre for first 80-150 chapters, then it goes later. The problem is. MC does not build a faction, does not have any lasting connections. The story is convoluted with forced plot "I need to powerup, so I go to dreamworld". Dreamworld is conveniently moving at a different time space, that allows MC to quickly power up. The ending part feels like it would be better to be cut off shorter on 30-50 chapters. It is still a novel that is decently written, there are some memorable scenes, some parts are skippable, and it may be worth reading, but only if you don't have a better choice in sight.

This is pretty great, though somewhat messy. The story begins as an almost literature quality slice of life, with a near meditative focus on living peacefully while pursuing goals. It's slow, but the genuinely smart protagonist paired with their laid back approach to avoiding trouble and growing their strength makes for a pleasant read. It takes a couple hundred chapters for the "Path of Dreams" to kick in, and while fun at first, the story begins to feel unfocused with new power systems constantly being introduced but never being interrogated to the same depth as the beginning. I enjoyed it, but it felt like the worldbuilding grew shallower over time, and the core power system became somewhat opaque. The worlds were genuinely fun with a lot of subtle references, with the Curse world having straight up movie quality horror plots. As time goes on, the story becomes more of a generic action fantasy, losing the "Carefree" core that really embodied the first couple hundred chapters. I'd still recommend it, but with the caveat that it won't be to everyone's taste. Last note, is that the evil protagonist, racism, and nationalism tags really aren't half as relevant as I'd expected them to be, with only a dozen chapters or so touching on them. The MC's definitely an antihero, but not malicious. Just apathetic.

Okay so Overall I think we should change the title to transversing through dreams or getting stronger thru dreams. Cause there isn't any carefree here at all. Also after almost 600 chapters, I got bored. So I'll stop for now. And maybe pick it up later on. What I like here the most is that he is true to his goal and no harem so far at all. Also he's smart and not reckless unlike the usual mc so upvote for that as well.

Carefree path of dreams has ups and downs but it is not as bad as people make it up to be. I liked how Fang Yuan slowly became a ruthless evil higher lifeform outer god from a smart but a bit naive kid. His cheat system is also not really powerful as in it is a support type and he has to work hard and earn things himself to get stronger. By the mid story, his system loses most use and only until Fang Yuan reaches the same level as the system that it becomes relevant. Also, people also said they didn't liked the fat this had nationalism and racism but all I found is that in a world where one nation calling it's enemy nation racial slurs. Plus, while Fang Yuan doesn't stop it, he doesn't approve it either. In conclusion, it is a memorable read.
