I have no idea why this book is so low on ranks? Seriously it deserves to be on top 20. It isn't even a hidden gem since where this is from(RR) it is regularly ranked at top 5. Characters are written masterfully, plot is engaging and there are no plot-holes. It manages to suprise you more than once and skillfully shows the passage of time.

There really isnt much to say. Its good. Very good even. Personally, i would have moved a more grounded kind of story but its not my novel and im not the author, so that isnt really any kind of criticism! Its really good and im sure everyone that decides to read this will be very happy that they gave this a shot. One thing tho, the start can be a bit uncomfortable for some, because of the first person pov. You will get used to it fast tho, so its gonna be alright!

A great novel that remembers and includes the most important and often forgotten part of a vampire story, the passage of time. This is not your average sophomore syndrome vampire story, it is far better in almost every aspect. Read it, you will not be disappointed.

It's been a while since I wrote a review nothing else to say absolutely worth it give this a chance the only thing I found problematic was it's writing well I am not a native speaker so I kinda struggled with the words*Which is skill issue tbh*. And a fun fact: This series is massive. So in conclusion give this a shot.

Brilliantly written story, solid progression for the fmc, characters that you'll genuinely love, hate and adore. The banter between the characters is what I loved the most though - intrigue, thinly veiled insults and full blown confrontations at every turn that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

One of the best vampire related novel on the platform. The world building is top notch, reasonable female lead, lots of quite funny jokes between characters, accurate description of vampires. All in all best of it's kind compared to the notorious Vampire system, My three wives are beautiful vampires, etc. Strongly recommend reading it if you like vampire theme.

One of the best vampire themed novels i have ever read. Highly recommended to the fans of vampires. Also, although not completely historically accurate, i still recommend this novel to the history nerds out there, as we travel through some of the major events in history and we hear about some of the major historical figures!

Its hard to find good vampire novels these days, and this is one of the few good ones. I was slightly surprised to see that it was a female mc, i usually don't read novels with fmc but i have to say that i was not disappointed i really like the mc and most of the side characters. The story is very interesting and you find yourself falling deeper into the rabbit hole the more you uncover and the character development is done well the mc changes in certain ways but it doesn't happen too fast or slow which i apriciete. The author really went with the classic vampire route by that i mean vampires have the basic abilities and weaknesses that are commonly known and does not introduce a bunch of fancy shit which i love, i have read many vampire novels and they don't really feel like it because they either have a system which honestly doesn't make sense or they have very fancy abilities that negates common vampire weaknesses but in this novel its very "down to earth".

I've been thinking of a review for this work for a while now but couldn't find the write words, but since I haven't found them yet and it's been too long since I've been thinking i decided to just give it a go. Here is my first ever review about novel: First, this story is a dark, specially during first arcs and because of that it has a trigger warning so be warned before you read. Then there are misconceptions about vampires and other creatures of myth, like they sparkle in the sun. Just throw them all away while reading this one; this is about how a vampire should be, this is like the classics, vampire are the rulers of the nights and are depicted as they should be. The mc is a woman(and throw away the misconceptions about woman mcs as well cause you're in for a surprise when you're reading this. ) Who was just turned in the beginning of the story and will begin her new life in the dangerous new world as weak fledgeling and here is where her suffering begins and also where the work shines (imo) cause she actually struggles and so accomplishes growth. The mc is srsly well written as during the course of the story and as she lives her long vampire life, she changes, she changes according to her life and experiences. Her character growth is amazing as she goes from a scared and unwilling woman who just wanted to live to someone who loves to hunt, someone who devours and as some in novel itself say about her: she's a true vampire who was born for being a vampire. (This next part is a paragraph that i copied from another reviewer named zethuron) "The worldbuilding in this story goes deep, very much so. The author has taken the old stories and tales about Vampires and other mythological races, and crafted a story out of them, and this story is the result of that, set in the early 19th century where Magic and magical races do actually exist, if hidden from most of humanity, who would only fear them for what they are. And the author got the Vampires right, they are written as the author views they should be like, the nobles of the night, they who rule in the shadows, ever afraid of the sun, yet also savage blooddrinkers, who are easily led by their urges. Simply wonderfully done, even if the story still has a quite long way to go. " The author has done a great job here as you can see in the descriptions, the pace the story, fights and. . . . The pace of the story is slow but not enough to get you bored and in exchange it is detailed enough to have you immersed, and he has written some of the best fights I've ever read. So if you're not an easily triggered person or want some change from the usual happy go lucky mcs, what are you waiting for? This masterpiece is waiting for you.
